Naturopathic Physician and Acupuncturist

Dr. Katelyn Bailey (she/her) is a licensed naturopathic physician and acupuncturist. Dr. Bailey graduated from the National University of Natural Medicine with degrees in both Naturopathic Medicine and Classical Chinese Medicine. She completed an additional two-year residency focused on regenerative injections and orthopedic style acupuncture.

Dr. Bailey’s clinical interests focus on the intersection of pain, sleep, and mental health. She believes strongly that all bodies deserve pain-free movement, play, and recreation. She strives to make her practice a place where patients can pursue their unique and individual goals for recreation, exercise, or competition.

Growing up playing a wide variety of sports, Dr. Bailey found mainstream sports medicine lacked skill in supporting gender diverse and bigger bodied athletes. She strives to make her practice a place where all patients are supported in their journey to healthy movement. In practice, Dr. Bailey supports her patients with a mixture of hands-on modalities such as acupuncture and body work, while also providing lifestyle support through guidance on healthy movement, nourishing foods, and restful recovery.

She has completed additional training in regenerative injection therapies such as prolotherapy and platelet rich plasma (PRP) to further address musculoskeletal and orthopedic complaints that do not respond to more conservative care. Dr. Bailey has pursued advanced training in musculoskeletal ultrasound to increase the accuracy and effectiveness of her treatments. Her background in shiatsu massage and postural assessment also helps to create a customized treatment plan for each patient.

Prior to her medical education, Dr. Bailey attended the University of California - Davis, receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. She spent several years working in a natural foods restaurant and draws on her cooking experience to help patients find both health and pleasure in their meals. Outside of medicine, she enjoys competing in tackle football with the Oregon Ravens and playing water polo. She also enjoys traveling, reading, and exploring new restaurants.
